To Tell Or Not To Tell

Had a nice dinner with the in-laws today. I decided not to tell them I'm having Lap Band Surgery. I didn't want to have to explain things to them. At this time I'm not going to tell many people. I have told some close friends at work because I may need their help when I go back to work, but for now not telling anyone else.

    I understand your feelings on not wanting to tell people. My original plan was to only have my immediate family (mom, dad, sister, her fiance, my niece), and VERY best friends know. Unfortunately, my parents have opened their big mouths so I have to deal with everyone in the South knowing. ;)

    i am trying to keep it quiet too... i am not sure who my parents will tell but I have only told 4 friends (2 good friends and 2 work friends)....

    i just don't want this to become the focus of every conversation with everyone while i deal with the ups and downs of this journey.

    Thanks Cody and Shrinking Mommy for your comments. I found out that my husband had told his Mother but she didn't mention it. Tomorrow my husband is having surgery so I will be spending the day at the hospital. let's see if she mentions it. If she doesn't then I'm not.
